Kotor
Kotor is the main town on the Boka Kotorska or Kotor fjord, and is one the most loved areas in Montenegro.
Kotor Old Town is located on a natural harbour on the Boka Kotorska. It has proven to be one of the most popular areas with visitors to Montenegro, who are charmed by its beautiful Venetian influenced Old Stone buildings, piazzas and monuments.
The Kotor Fjord or Boka Kotorska is Southern Europe's deepeset fjord, and an area of oustanding and dramatic natural beauty.
Designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, it is widely recognised as one of the most beautiful bays in the world. It is an area of cultural and historical richness, with many beautiful authentic stone villages dotting the waterfront. The largest town on the fjord is Kotor. Other towns of note are Prcanj, Perast, Risan and Tivat.
